The Avaya IP Office IP500 phone system is the latest addition to the AVAYA IP Office family. The Standard Edition telephone system runs a subset of full IP Office functionality with a maximum of 32 users restricted to the base control unit. This system has capacity for 16 analogue trunks, 4 digital trunks or optionally, SIP trunks. The Standard Edition of this AVAYA phone system enables the use of basic applications such as Embedded Voicemail, Phone Manager, Lite/Pro/PC Softphone, SoftConsole, TAPI, SMDR (call tracking), CBC, SIP Trunking (through optional licenses) and IP DECT.
By adding the IP Office Professional Edition upgrade license, this business phone system can be expanded to include up to eight external expansion modules. This additional licence allows the support of up to 272 phones through a combination of analogue phones, digital phones and IP phones. The Professional upgrade enables licensing of advanced applications such as Voicemail Pro, CCC, Conference Centre, Voice Networking and Advanced Networking.
The Standard Edition software provides both an entry level introduction into the IP Office family as well as a sustainable solution for growing businesses. The addition of the Professional Edition Licence gives the system the capability to maintain medium to larger scale businesses, with a greater VCM channel capacity and performance.
