IP Office Analog Extension Card

An analog extension card is a fax and door entryphone extension card - an extra extension card added into your IP500V2 control unit to enable your company to connect up a fax machine and a door entryphone to your telephone system. A door entryphone connected to your phone system is a very handy thing. When the doorbell rings, depending on your configuration you can either make it ring everyone's phone or a dedicated person's phone. That person will then be able to speak to whoever is at the door and let them in using just the phone system.

At time of purchase, an IP500 V2 control unit, the base unit of the IP Office system, will be configured by your telephone system company to your specifications. This is typically done using cards or combination of cards, the building block of the IP500 V2 hardware unit. An IP Office analog extension card is one such card; in this case it is the internal unit which allows analog systems such as a fax machine or a door phone entry system to be added to the system. The IP Office Analog Extension Card provides 2 analog extension ports (1-2) for the connection of analog phones. The IP Office Analog Extension Card can be fitted with an IP Office 500 daughter trunk card, which then uses the last 4 RJ45 ports (9-12) for trunk connections.
