IP Office Call logging packages come principally from two third party vendors, Tri-line (the 'Tim' product suite) and Oak. Both of these are Avaya DevConnect partners and quality is assured with either: however we have a clear preference for the Tri-line products because they have the same functionality as Oak but are much more competitively priced. As of IP Office 4.2, Delta Server is no longer useable as a CSV call logging output. Delta server existed because of Avaya CCC, and, once this was scrapped and replaced with CCR, Delta server was as well. So for call logging a 3rd party software is neccessary.
The Tri-line call logging product suite comes in three editions: Tim Pro, Tim Plus and Tim Enterprise. Tim Pro is considered entry level, and whilst multisite, only allows any one individual to be part of only one group. Tim Plus allows unlimited groups and sites, whilst Tim Enterprise has a number of data storage difference that will appeal to large corporates.
The Tim Plus IP Office Call Logger specifically caters for small companies that want a single, unified management interface for logging calls from more than location. The Tim Plus IP Office Call Logger sits between the entry-level, single-site Tim Professional product, and the Tim Enterprise product, which provides comprehensive management information for larger organisations whose telecommunications infrastructures employ large-scale, interconnected voice networks. The simple user interface of Tim Plus shields the user from its powerful call processing engine and its features. Tim Plus runs as a Windows Service and all of its functions, configuration, and call reports are accessible through all standard web browsers. Out of the box, Tim Plus standard configuration allows logging up to five PBXs, with an initial capacity of up to 100 users which can be spread in any configuration.
To upgrade your Tim Plus IP Office call logger, users purchase additional capacity in blocks of 100 users. user is conceptual - a user of communications services in your business - not just a physical device such as a telephone or fax machine. Thus, if an employee (a user) has more than one device, such as a desk phone, a mobile phone, and even a separate DECT phone, then that counts as one user, not three. The Tim Plus IP Office call logger can also take mobile billing feeds from your provider, and reporting on these is straightforward.
The Tim Plus IP Office Call Logger package produces a number of highly flexible reports. All of them are available on-demand at the PC running Tim, or through a standard web browser anywhere on your network. They can also be sent to a printer or to multiple e-mail addresses on a scheduled basis, every hour, day, week, month or quarter. Each report is generated in standard HTML and Tim uses template HTML files for its headers and footers, meaning that every single report can be completely customised to include your company logo, personalised contact information - indeed, anything written in HTML.
