Business Issue:

The need for a new telephone system was upon Multiplex. There were a number of systems from different manufacturers that they could have chosen, but the Avaya IP Office gave them all the system and user requirements that they asked. The system ensures that the incoming calls are handled quickly and efficiently by the team of receptionists, who use the phone manager pro software to enhance the call handling and to view which users are already on the phone and who are on Do Not Disturb (DND) 


Benefits:

Staff user training for Multiplex is key and due to the rapid growth and the new influx of staff Telefonix have held many one on one user training sessions and group training days. The receptionists needed to be self sufficient so they all attended the Telefonix Basic Administrators Training Course. This gave them the abilty and confidence to make live system changes to the phone system to make sure calls were always handled promptly. 

The Solution:

The system was to be a pure IP installation as to conform with the groups IT rollout plan. A selection of the IP handsets were trialed and over 200 handsets were installed into the prestigous new offices. HP Power over Ethernet switches were used providing a single wire solution to each phone, which not only cuts down on cabling requirements but has also reduced the administration of the system.
