The Avaya Communication Manager 9640 IP Handset is designed for people who rely on the telephone to do their job, such as sales people, relationship managers and support managers.  The 3.8 inch high resolution, colour, backlit display supports up to 24 call appearances or feature keys, with 6 concurrent line appearances visible at any one time.  The dedicated Call Forward/Mobility button provides direct one-touch access to AVAYA Communication Manager mobility features such as Extension to Cellular.  This handset supports a 24 button expansion module to provide additional call appearances, bridge appearances and administered feature keys, including speed dials.

Also available is the 9640G - all the features of the 9640 but with the additional native support for Gigabit Ethernet.

The Avaya 9640 IP Phone is only compatable with the Avaya Communication Manager platform which incorporates the Multivantage Express (MVE). It cannot be used with any of the Avaya IP Office range of business voip phone systems.
