25/02/2007 Everyday Loans IT&T Contract Awarded

Systems Supported announce the successful rollout of the first phase of an IT and communications infrastructure for everydayloans, the name behind a new, straightforward way for individuals to borrow money in the UK. The outsourced technology solution includes the design, implementation, management and support of an internet (IP) based network infrastructure that flexibly supports the growth plans of the business without the need for high levels of capital investment or significant overheads.

everydayloans wanted a single technology solution that was cost effective on day one but would scale with the business in supporting head office operations and the development of the branch network. As a high street retail finance business emphasising face to face contact with customers it is critical that technology is secure, effective and reliable in supporting customer interactions and back office operations.

Danny Malone, CFO at everydayloans said “Our aggressive business plans require shrewd investment in a technology solution that will support the evolution of the business and Systems Supported demonstrated a rare understanding of not only the technology, but how to apply it to support a growing, multi-site operation.” He continues, “We are focussed on developing a financial services business and are delighted that the team from Systems Supported is working with us to deliver the technology to support the business plan.”

Commenting of the early success of the everydayloans rollout Mike Kirby, Managing Director of Systems Supported said, “Our business is about providing customers with relevant and cost effective technology solutions that work hard for them rather than the other way round. everydayloans is a great example of how we can help rapidly growing or changing businesses that don’t want to focus on technology, but need it to be successful.”

Incorporating technology from Avaya, IBM, Microsoft and Citrix, Systems Supported has delivered a resilient, highly scalable internet protocol (IP) infrastructure based around the latest standards. Voice over IP is used for telephone communication across the business. The Avaya based system facilitates flexible, productive working in a rapidly evolving, multi-site environment, as well as offering well documented cost benefits. The data centre houses an IBM BladeCenter server environment that offers a highly scalable solution to business growth through modular components. This Windows based infrastructure provides a cost effective approach that ensures high reliability and easy maintenance. The use of thin client technology for desktop computing throughout the organisation ensures that no data is stored locally. This improves the security and confidentiality of customer information in accordance with law and regulation as well as delivering a more flexible and easier to maintain computing infrastructure.

Phil Cooper, IT manager at everydayloans said “We quickly needed a single, reliable and cost effective IT and communications infrastructure that would flex and scale with the business and that’s exactly what the team from Systems Supported have delivered.” He added, “Systems Supported was selected as the technology partner for everydayloans following a rigorous selection procedure in which they beat a number of long established IT and telephony providers.”

09/02/2006 Contract Won - Out of 14 Telephony Providers!

We have just successfully won a bid for the provision of an IP Telephony Solution for a Midlands based accountancy firm, we were one of 14 suppliers that were invited to tender for the project.

We were very confident with our approach and let our technical skills sell the solution to the client, who had been told by numerous other suppliers that what they wanted to achieve was not possible!

To ensure that we won the contract we installed the solution onto their live network to prove that it would work.

Avaya IP Office 406 was the winning formula, with the phone manager software being deployed over Citrix.

21/11/2005 Avaya IP Office 406 Pure IP Installation

Another Pure IP installation using the Avaya IP Office has been confirmed. The solution will be installed using sperate VLAN's for both voice and data. These will be routed using Layer 3 switches, which will provide the POE (Power over Ethernet), traffic priority, fast switching and resilince to the converged network.
A gigabit backbone will be used in conjuntion with three edge switches. The office has limited cabling so therefore the IP solution was the perfect answer. The current workstations will be plugged into the switch port on the rear of the Avaya 5610 handsets to enable both phone and PC access to the appropiate VLAN whilst maintaining Quality of Service.

25/10/2005 TAPI and Terminal Services with Avaya IP Office

A computer Value Added Reseller had a need to update their old communications platform to a system that would allow them to use a TAPI function with their CRM database that is hosted via Terminal Services. As standard the Avaya TAPI will not support this function therefore a 3rd Party TAPI was sourced and linked with both the CRM application and Phone Manager software.
The system will now dial out of the database, the sales staff can use the "Power Dialer" functionality allowing the management to control the number of calls each sales staff makes. Also the CRM package will screen pop the incoming callers record if matched.

14/01/2005 PDA IP Softphone linked to Avaya IP Office

15/11/2004 The Pen Warehouse - HI-TEC Avaya IP Office Telephony Solution Installed - Now Saving Money!

The Pen Warehouse were using centrix and it was performing extremely poorly for the companies growing needs. Business was being lost due to poor call management and handling. There was a need to record calls for the telesales team to ensure that prices quoted over the phone were correct - Tens of Thousands of pounds had already been lost due to misquoted / misheard pricing in the past month alone.

After a lengthy pre-installation consultation and survey had been performed which meant that we had captured all The Pen Warehouse's needs, a proposal was put together.

The final solution included the Avaya IP Office 403, the high specification 2420 Digital Display handsets, a very flexible and scaleable auto attendant, designed to route clients calls to their account managers and also fast track "Premium Clients" to the front of any queues. Link this with a Call recording and Call Management solution so that management can easily locate (through a web browser) and play back calls and email them to clients in a secure manor to eliminate pricing queries and disputes.

Once the solution was in place the management requested that they also enable a number of remote users with IP Phones across Orangebubble ADSL connections. Using a VCM5 and IPSEC Tunnels the Voice over IP (Voip) link was created and the extensions now operate successfully with all the features of the main system, including the call recording.

The Pen warehouse have already saved more than double the telephony solution cost due to disputed pricing queries which after providing call recordings have been solved favourably.

A great example of using technology to it's full and it's advantages!
