We've put out new offers with fantastic savings with 1 and 3 year contracts, and a great SIP offer with 5000 bundled minutes per month!
The Avaya IP Office 406 Telephone System is the Avaya IP Office base system for medium business in the 20-200 user range.
The 406 phone system is a stackable unit with further expansion capabilities over the Small Office Edition. The system supports up to 6 IP Office expansion modules, as well as supporting both Embedded Voicemail and Auto Attendant. The IP 406 system facilitates the use of up to 190 extensions through a combination of analogue phones, digital phones and IP phones. This particular member of the AVAYA IP Office family has the capacity for 8 analogue trunks or 3 digital trunks or optionally, SIP trunks.
Avaya have announced that the IP Office 4** range is being discontinued in 2009 and that all the functionality of that series will be inbuilt into the new version of IP Office (version 5) IP500. Telefonix Voice & Data are one of the trial sites for version 5 and it truly delivers. The increased capacity which previously was only available on IP406 will mean the IP500, now known as communications server goes to 384 users.
Please note that with the recent IP Office upgrades, we have seen a large increase in Avaya systems and hardware sold second hand, refurbished or reconditioned, and offered online on eBay. Please be aware that Avaya do not support "grey" kit, ie 406 units originally licensed in Asia then resold to Europe. This means that whilst you maybe able to find a company or someone willing to install such a system, this will not be done as an Avaya business partner. This in turn means that if the equipment experiences failure (remember this is legacy equipment an so a certain failure rate is inevitable), you are not covered. Common causes of IP406 failure include: VCM card failure, PSU overheating, external module failure, external port failure & inability to upgrade PCS version. Our advice would be to think twice before purchasing gray IP406 units, and to consider the purchase of an IP500 instead, which comes with guarantees and is backed by a business partner that Avaya will support.
Yes; Voicemail Lite is included as standard which includes email forwarding. Other options include embedded voicemail and voicemail pro, both of which extend the functionality of the voicemail package.
Yes, up to 8 lines (numbers) can come into the system, and the person answering will know which number has been called and the number of the incoming caller.
The functionality to "press 1 for sales" etc is known within the business as an auto attendant and is an integral & free part of the system.
