The Avaya IP Office IP 412 Telephone System is ideal for a small contact centre or a business with a CRM focus. This member of the IP Office range provides greater internal data transfer capability than the IP 406, as well as greater trunk expansion capability of up to four PRI trunks. The system supports up to twelve IP Office expansion modules, and a combination of up to 360 analogue telephones, digital telephones and IP telephones. The system also provides capacity for 8 analogue trunks, 4 digital trunks and optionally SIP trunks.
"We launched IP Office to give small and medium businesses access to the features and IP-based networking capabilities of big-business communications systems," said Dave Johnson, group vice president of Avaya's Small and Medium Business Solutions organization. "With this new, global release, we are giving our customers the enhanced features they have asked us to provide: more capacity, improved security, greater call coverage, better call tracking, and ability to connect with a greater variety of Avaya IP phones."
Avaya have announced that the IP Office 4** range is being discontinued in 2009 and that all the functionality of that series will be inbuilt into the new version of IP Office (version 5) IP500. Telefonix Voice & Data are one of the trial sites for version 5 and it truly delivers. The increased capacity which previously was only available on IP412 will mean the IP500, now known as communications server goes to 384 users.
