Premicell Devices
Premicell Devices (also known as Fixed Wireless Terminals, Fixed Cellular Terminals or GSM Gateways) are devices which provide 'office to mobile' cost savings when connected to compatible office telephone systems such as all our Avaya phone systems. Telefonix offers premicell solutions to all our phone system customers.
Premicell Devices contain one or multiple SIM cards that sits alongside your telephone exchange. When you call a pre-programmed mobile number using a premicell (or with compatible systems, call any number with the mobile prefix "07"), the calls are diverted through the SIM cards making them mobile-to-mobile calls, which are far more cost-effective compared to making standard landline-to-mobile calls.
With some tariffs, such as Vodafone Sharetime or Vodafone Company Caller, a SIM card is provided in your premicell making the calls free of charge to your own fleet of mobile telephones. Alternatively, a tariff can be chosen for your premicell that provides you with cross-network minutes, allowing you to call any mobile phone across the different networks.
Another benefit of a premicell is that if you are based in a remote location or if you have a mobile office (for example on a construction site), the premicell can give you access to telephone, internet and fax without the need for a fixed line. We are able to supply and arrange installation for all leading brand premicell devices.
TelecomFM GSMRoute Premicell
The GSM-Route has been developed to convert outgoing and incoming calls from ISDN to mobile, enabling end customers to take advantage of cost savings. The GSM-Route (BRI) will automatically detect its environment and will adapt accordingly, providing a robust fail-safe operation. The GSM-Route (BRI) is compact, versatile and reliable, and offers cost effectiveness in a competitive market.
Cost Savings Example
A recent customers of Telefonix calculated that at their current 8 pence per minute, with 18,661 minutes used, they averaged a monthly mobile bill of £1,492.00. By adding premicells, costing £40/month, this then reduced that cost per minute to only 2.9ppm. For them, this will generate them a 24 month saving figure of £20,448!
