IP Office: Bank Holiday Preparation

This is a quick start guide on IP Office bank holiday preparation, part II

In addition to last week's tip I will talk about Bank Holiday groups and messages. You will need:

• Manager Software
• System Version 4.2+ (I will be using 8.0)
• Time profiles setup

Firstly we will need to decided how we want our calls to be routed over the holiday I will be having 3 mobile users and a generic bank holiday message. Now that I have a plan I will create a Hunt Group creatively named Holiday Group. IMPORTANT: If you are having mobile users as part of this group the 'Ring Mode' has to be set to sequential.

Assign a voicemail pin number to the group.

Now we need to attach the time profile and Hunt Group to our incoming calls.

Lastly we should record a greeting for our Hunt Group I will generally use something generic so it can be re-used. To access the recordings menu from your handset dial *99 + Hunt Group extension number + pin (e.g. *99+7802+1234) when you hear the woman's voice press 3 to access the recordings menu from there just follow the instructions given. If *99 is not working the code may not be programmed I have included a screenshot of the short code just in case.
