IP Office: Reset Handset

Occasionally a 9600 series phone will pick up bad settings or require new firmware, usually when moving a phone from one system to another this can be easily resolved by resetting the phone.

  1. Restart the phone by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
  2. When prompted during the boot up sequence press * to program.
  3. You will now be prompted for a pass key this is CRAFT.
  4. Finally you will be met with a scrolling menu, if you move down the menu there is an option called clear once you select this you will need to confirm and the phone will reboot.

During the reboot the phone will re download all the firmware and settings from the systems SD card this can take up to 15 minutes. But after you should have the most up to date settings and firmware for your system version.
