The IP office IP 500 phone system provides call appearance functionality. Call appearance represents the user's presence on the system, the number of call appearance buttons dictates the number of calls on the system the User can have directed to them. When all of a User's Call Appearance buttons are in use (not Idle) the User is considered to be Busy and no further calls can be routed to them. Used for Internal, External DDI/DID and feature (VM etc) calls.
During busy times, you may find that you have more than one call coming into you. With call appearance you're able to see all the numbers calling you and select the one who you feel is the most important. Ie your best client!
