Avaya IPOSS is an Avaya-mandated annual support enhancement license. Without IPOSS purchase for each chassis unit, Avaya will refuse any support request through to Avaya tier 3 support. Avaya IP Office telephone systems running 8.0 and below are software releases no longer supported for bugfixing by Avaya.

• Single fee per server with pre-paid term which can be equal to your Telefonix maintenance contract.
• Enhanced remote connectivity for support through SSL-VPN.
• Software bugs raised for you by Telefonix can go directly to tier 3 support at Avaya.

Non-IPOSS purchasers are still entitled to download dot releases, but only three months after they are released. Dot releases are usually maintenance releases fixing bugs in the initial major release.
